Melissa Mendez BLOG 2 Prompt #1 : (Gender Representation in Movies) The cultural artifact that I chose was the movie She’s the Man. The reason I chose this artifact was because this movie is known for the many stereotypes it has against boys and girls. In other words, it has an understanding from both sides and I feel like that is fair for everyone overall. This movie is one of my favorites because it holds a memory of me as a teenage girl watching and trying to understand how genders really act when they are alone in their social groups.
